History

We were founded under the name of ‘Warwick Rockets’ in 2014. The aim of the society is to connect students who wanted the opportunity to work on space-related extracurricular projects and meet other people interested in spaceflight. The society has since become ‘Warwick Aerospace’ to encompass other disciplines such as aircraft and drones. Below is a collection of our past logos which show the history of our society.

Warwick Aerospace now aims to foster interest in amateur rocketry, aerospace and space science through long and short term projects including national competitions. We hope to develop relationships with industry to aid with both funding and expertise and create a meaningful presence at the university for students passionate about space.

Due to our long-history we have been able to run many projects such as High Altitude ballooning which can be seen in greater detail on our projects page.
